Gap and Day are measured from the close before the reaction session; Since runs to the latest close. Vol × is reaction-day volume against the prior 50-day average. A strong reaction that holds (Since ≥ Day) on heavy volume is the episodic-pivot shape.
The morning script on the laptop updates the universe, runs the course funnel and scans, imports any CSV in sim_export\daily_desk\lists, refreshes fundamentals for the shortlist, scores the regime, reads the journal from the sync store, and deploys this page. Open it on wifi once before you leave; it then works offline. Reads, plans, the journal and reviews are stored on this device and synced to Cloudflare whenever you are online, so the laptop and the iPad see the same journal.
The strip on the left is the current list: ticker, grade mark, flag dots (blue S1 base, amber EP, green S3 pullback or 20-day breakout, red earnings within 5 sessions, black held). ↑↓ or J/K move through it without scrolling the page; H hides it; F puts the chart full screen with the keys still live. The List tab is the same list as a sortable table. Grades: A ready (trigger could hit tomorrow), B focus (structure forming), Watch (keep an eye on), Pass. Export… copies or downloads tickers by grade for Deepvue.
Three years of daily bars with the 10/20 EMA and 50/200 SMA, weekly with the 10/20/30/40-week SMA. The RS line is price ÷ SPY with its 52-week high. E marks earnings dates. "ext" in the corner is the distance from the 50-day SMA in 14-day ATRs. Hover for the crosshair on the laptop; tap a bar for it on the iPad, tap it again to clear. Drag or wheel scrolls through history, pinch or wheel zooms, double-tap or → returns to the latest bar.
Positions and closed trades live here. "Mark filled" on the Ready list, or + New trade, opens a trade; partials, stop moves, the 10-week transition and the exit are recorded per trade. R, days held, equity, the drawdown ladder, expectancy and the by-setup table are computed from the trades. The morning script reads this journal from the sync store for its position checks and writes an Excel backup each day. Backup/restore JSON is there for safety; browser storage can be cleared.
The strip shows the tier the ladder allows and the four components. The QQQ/SPY chip is advisory: in the full-universe study, pullback and gap setups ran negative while QQQ lagged SPY (ratio below a falling 50-day); tight-base breakouts were indifferent. The Market tab has compact QQQ, SPY, IWM and RSP panes (tap to expand), the ratio, breadth history and the theme map.
Market tab → Market Monitor is Stockbee's breadth table on our own universe (US common stocks, close ≥ $5, 20-day average volume ≥ 100k shares). Read the primary columns for the short-term tide: a burst of 4% breakouts with the 5- and 10-day ratios above 1 marks a thrust; heavy 4% breakdowns with ratios well under 1 mark a washout. The secondary columns (up or down 25% in a quarter, 25% and 50% in a month, 13% in 34 days) show the intermediate trend, and % above the 50-day at its extremes marks overbought and oversold. Shading compares each value with the last year's. Highs & lows charts the same history: new 52-week highs and lows, the 4% counts, % above the 50 and 200-day, and SPY.
Industry groups built from the liquid names (price ≥ $5, 20-day $vol ≥ $5M), equal-weighted, ranked by 1-month return, with the change in rank over a week and a month. Tap a group for its index chart and members; "Flip charts on the Desk" loads them as a list. ★ keeps a group on your watch. The ETF views rank thematic, sector, equal-weight and country funds. "Download themes for offline" fetches every group's charts so the Themes and the Screener work on the plane.
The economic calendar comes from ForexFactory's public weekly feed (this week and, once published, next week; the last seven days stay visible). Red = high impact, amber = medium. A red ⚑ chip appears in the regime strip when a high-impact US release is due within 40 hours. Below it, earnings: what reports in the next 10 sessions (☀ before the open, ☾ after the close; "after the close" on the data date means the numbers are out and the move comes next session), and the reactions to reports in the last 10 sessions: the gap, the reaction-day move, the move since, and reaction-day volume against the 50-day average. Tap any name to flip the list on the Desk. Scope: My names (held, graded A/B/Watch, imported lists), Universe, or every liquid name.
Market tab → COT is the CFTC's weekly Commitments of Traders (legacy, futures only) for the index futures, rates, the dollar, euro and yen, crude, natural gas, gold, silver, copper and CME bitcoin. Large specs = funds (non-commercial), commercials = hedgers, small traders = the rest. Index 3y places the current net position in its three-year range; shaded cells are at 90+ or 10 and under. The chart shows the three nets with open interest underneath and an ETF proxy's weekly close on the left scale; tap the chart to read any week. Reports are as of Tuesday and published Friday afternoon New York time.
Under the fundamentals on the Desk: the last week of news on the name from Polygon (+ / − marks Polygon's sentiment call for that ticker), and the last 45 days of SEC filings for the desk names (lists, reads, positions). A violet strip dot marks an offering or shelf filing (S-1, S-3, 424B) in the last two weeks: supply that can cap a breakout. Links open online only; headlines and summaries are readable offline.
Filters over every liquid name. Leave a box empty to ignore it; percentages are typed as percentages (25 = 25%). "Below 52w high %" max 15 means within 15% of the high. "Sessions to earnings" with only a minimum also keeps names with no date on the calendar, so min 6 reads "no report in the next five sessions". Presets are starting points; Save screen keeps your own (synced with the journal). "Flip charts on the Desk" loads the results as a list, sorted as the table is; Export copies or downloads the tickers for Deepvue. EPS and sales growth are the latest reported quarter against the same quarter a year earlier, from the Alpha Vantage files on the laptop; "Days since report" shows how fresh that is.
